Not effective: If the diagnosis hasn't been confirmed, see a doctor and follow her advice. If confirmed, the treatments you mention are ineffective, and garlic won't help either. You need an anti-parasitic drug like albendazole. A single dose is effective. Albendazole is available without prescription in the US, but I don't know about the UK. Ask your chemist. Good luck!
