Worrisome...: If a headache is bad enough to awaken you from your sleep, or is very severe, whether frontal or other part of scalp (there are no pain fibers in the brain!), you must see your physician. Most presume a headache is just a headache. But if never evaluated/worked up for causes, particularly if pattern changes, or become more severe, it needs to be. Must rule out brain tumor. If no cause found, rx.

Get checked: Frontal headaches can occur due to multiple reasons, most commonly eye strain or sinus pressure. There are other potential causes, which could be concerning, therefore if your headaches are not relieved by tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin, you should get checked.
