Broken Heart Recover: I can appreciate your pain. Part of the human experience is loss. One can push onself into work, hobbies, music, theatres, and spend more time with friends. Supportive counseling will be helpful. It takes several months to recover from the pain of a loss; lovedone,job,home,friends,etc. If symptoms are severe seek help from a mental helath doctor.

Time heals.: Take your time. Grieve for as long as you need. Don't listen to well-intended people who want to rush along your sadness. Share your emotions with friends and family, but don't let people tell you how to grieve. Try to do positive things for yourself.
