Yes: Anyone can suffer from fibromyalgia but is much more common in women. No one is quite sure why this is so.

Mostly women: Women are prone to this and it usually occurs after age 30. It can occur in men and affect younger people, but in my practice, most young people with "fibromyalgia, " : a diagnosis of exclusion, have another cause for their pain.

No, are cofactors: ? can fibromyalgia afflict anyone. No! Multiple co-factors (childbirth, obesity, mechanical injury & hypermobility) conjoin as pelvic biomechanical destabilizer; causing tilted body tower in gravitational field; incurring widespread repetitive stress soft tissue injuries from asymmetric biomechanical function; thereby evoking symptom constellation within "umbrella label" called "fibromyalgia".
