Could fibromyalgia be linked to gulf war syndrome?

Maybe : Trauma to the trunk (the neck and back) is thought to be a trigger for fibromyalgia in a genetically predisposed person. In the gulf war, some soldiers returned with symptoms similar to fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. The theory is that the trauma to the trunk from war triggered their symptoms.
