Rare condition: Fmf often presents as fever of undetermined origin. If you are of appropriate ethnic background, have episodes of fever with abdominal pain and other suggestions of polyserositis and are without symptoms between attacks the illness is suspected and there are now molecular testing techniques for hereditary periodic fevers. Without these symptoms, very difficult to suspect.
