MEDITERRANEAN FEVER: Familial mediterranean fever, also called familial paroxysmal or recurrent polyserositis is an inherited condition characterized by transient recurring attacks of abdominal pain, fever, pleurisy (chest pain), arthritis, and rash. The condition is asymptomatic between attacks.
