i know it's dangerous for an ovarian cyst to rupture when pregnant. can anything be done to prevent it or reduce the risk?

Not necessarily: Ovarian cysts rupture all the time and most of them cause pain without any serious consequences. Other than limiting physical activity if you have multiple cysts, there is little you can do to prevent rupture when pregnant.

NO: Getting pregnant has nothing to do with ovarian cyst. It depends on your ovulation once a month for your egg to be fertilized and get pregnant.
