Many causes: Pain right and above stomach are usually: esophagus, stomach, duodenum [1st part of small intestine], liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, or pancreas; muscles, nerves, or hernia. Finding cause can be difficult. If it's the GB, your ultrasound should show stones, wall thickening, and tenderness when the US touches GB. The acid-blocking medicine MAY exclude stomach -- rec. endoscopy -rule out ulcer.
