A member asked:

Suffering from lump in throat sensation for over a year, i'm wondering if this could be connected to headache, earache, sensory issues. also i have hpv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rule out GERD: One of the most common causes of a feeling of a lump in the throat can be due to spasm of the sphincter at the beginning of the esophagus. It is commonly secondary to high reflux from stomach acid. An upper GI study and a visit to a GI specialist can be helpful.
