A member asked:

Daughter gor seizure and labs were normal and no fever, will she be on meds for the rest of her life? can seizures permanently damage her in any way?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Epilepsy: Seizures in the absence of fever, and normal labs are generally from epilepsy. If the seizures are controlled properly with medication, the chances of any permanent disability are minimal. The general practice is to keep the child on seizure medication for at least 2 years seizure free.
