How is an avm diagnosed?

During endoscopy: Avm, or arterio-venous malformations, are found in the GI tract, and can be diagnosed with colonoscopy or upper endoscopy.

Visualize: Many arteriovenous malformations (avm) are on the surface and can be seen. Others can be deep, and/or large and may make noise(bruit) or affect limb size, create secondary symptoms-heart failure. The usual small ones of childhood may resorb or shrink over time. Others may need intervention or surgery.
