A member asked:

Pink around a scab is it infected? it's not warm and it has no ozzing coming from it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Healing wound: It is normal for the edge of the skin around a scab to turn slightly pink as it heals, due to increased blood flow associated with bringing nutrients to the growing and healing tissue. But more intense redness, swelling, or pain could indicate an infection.
