Can you still safely take 4, 000 mg tylenol (acetaminophen)? i have flu, and 3, 000 mg is not keeping my fever down 8 hrs. i'm allergic to nsaids and aspirin.

No: This is an excessive dose and significantly increases the risk of liver toxicity. Stay below 3, 000 mg daily to be safe.
