Treatment options: It depends on the severity of the gestational diabetes. diet and exercise is always best and mostly free. See a dietician. If the diabetes is not far from goal, you can get it controlled with oral medications. Glyburide, metformin are cheap $4/month. If the diabetes is not very well controlled, Insulin will be needed and it costs considerably more once Insulin is involved: insulin, test strips...
