can you tell me why cardiac tamponade is fatal unless treated immediately. would a pneumopericardium be the same efect?

Tamponade: Tamponade results in cardiac compression that impedes cardiac filling and causes severely decreasing cardiac output. Pneumopericardium usually doesn't cause tamponade that seriously.
