A member asked:

Why don't we have flippers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In a way, we do: They're called hands and feet. The flesh between them separates the bones, allowing us to have prehensile digits that our dolphin cousins don't need. But the bones are the same, and in the weeks after conception, we look the same. It sounds like you'd have a great time studying comparative anatomy and the biology that links and explains the amazing design similarities among living things.
