Can you tell me about epinephrine stimulates a1 and b2 receptors. does this lead to both vasoconstriction and vasodilation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adrenergic receptors: Hi. Epi stimulates vascular alpha-1 and beta-2 receptors, so yes, there is both vasoconstriction & vasodilation (so you see pulse width widen). Epi also stimulates cardiac beta-1 receptors and speeds up the heart rate. Not a question we commonly see...what makes you ask? Do you have a pheo? Good luck?
