Suggestions: There are many generic medications now available, and cost of the older meds, such as Dilantin are very low. The local epilepsy associations have programs in place to help, and Medicaid or Obamacare is supposed to assist those without resources. Contact your local medical society and ask for guidance. Low-cost meds: Some free clinics stockpile various kinds of meds. Ditto for certain pharmacies with charity programs. Walmart, Target, some other places make certain meds available for as little as $4/month. Very limited selection of seizure meds, but it's worth checking out. You may be able to get a Rx for a low-cost med from a free clinic. Need to be sure the med is appropriate for your kind of epilepsy.
