Consider: Dry mouth has multiple causes including medications, breathing through the mouth and systemic conditions. I would suggest seeing your MD about possible causes. You may need to see a dentist for treatment options.

Dry mouth : can be a sign of an underlying medical condition (e.g. Vitamin deficiency). Depending on the cause of your symptoms, your health care provider can recommend appropriate treatment. See your dentist or physician to find out why your mouth is dry.

If dry mouth persists as a dentist I’d strongly recommend a high fluoride toothpaste and night trays filled with baking soda- xylitol ‘retainer gel’.

May be due to mouth breathing while asleep. If you snore, see your MD/DO abut having a sleep study. If you have partial airway obstruction you may require Orthodontic/Orthognathic treatment as an alternative to breathing assist devices. See an Orthodontist for Initial Examination (usually free) to evaluate for visual airway obstruction, Oral Surgeon to evaluate for radiographic airway obstruction.
