No its not okay: Healthy people, when something really bothers them, stop doing what bothers them. EXCEPT, when what they are getting out of that activity is REALLY worth it to them. So, for you, drinking (and I am guessing getting drunk) is more important than pain from eroding your esophagus and possibly ultimately causing damage/bleeding. This sounds to me like a problem where sobriety is the solution. Try it
