Allergy/viral rash: Very rare to develop allergic reaction to rice cereal. If your baby was suffering with cold/was sick with fever, the rash could be due to viral infection. If he was completely normal prior to starting rice cereal and developed rash immediately then he may be allergic to rice cereal. Please talk to your doctor before you start introducing new foods. You may also wait to introduce food at 6 mnts age
