Psychogenic pain: is a pain disorder associated with psychological factors. Some types of mental or emotional problems can cause, increase and maintain pain. A person with a psychogenic pain disorder may complain of pain that does not match his or her symptoms and it's far from the logic. However, it is real pain and needs to be addressed by a doctors team approach.
