A member asked:

When i exhale my heart slows down dramatically and when i inhale speeds up dramatically. 16 years old, male, not very sportly but also not unhealthy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal finding: When you inhale you increase the volume of the chest compartment, create a vacuum in the chest and blood travels in quicker. The heart speeds up some to accommodate the change. When you exhale, you reverse the process and slow blood movement into the chest, so the heart slows.
