Probably the same..: These are classified as developing counttries, and they are likely at the same level of development, so the risk is probably the same, and more than in places like the United States. They are also more readily exposed to less developed, more endemic areas, like china.

Hepatitis Risks.: Both have some risk for Hepatitis A - so that vaccine is recommended for most.Hepatitis B is only recommended in some circumstances. The risk of Hepatitis depends largely on if you engage in risky behaviors (eating or drinking contaminated food, sexual contact, contaminated needles or blood products, getting tattoos or piercings). Sorry, I don't think of Taiwan or HongKong as "developing".
