Whats eosinophilic esophagitis ?

Allergy: This is an allergic condition of the esophagus that can cause problems swallowing. The cause is unknown but it can be treated with medications.

EoE: Eosinophilic esophagitis or eoe is an allergic inflammatory disease of the esophagus typically caused by food proteins. Symptoms can include vomiting, abdominal pain, reflux, difficulty swallowing and food impaction due to esophageal inflammation. Treatments include topical steroids and food elimination diet. Typically, eoe is managed by gastroenterologists and allergists.
