Senna Side effects: Potential side effects w senna may include rectal bleeding (black, tarry, malodorous stools), abdominal cramping & pain, nausea / vomiting, diarrhea, gas, brown urine & feeling lightheaded. Dehydration, reduced potassium levels, liver problems,cardiac arrhythmia and kidney damage may occur. It should not be used longer than 7 days.
