A cystogram...: Is performed by radiology to assess the bladder. The exact procedure will vary depending on the reason for the exam. You will undress and wear a gown. A urinary catheter is placed with some lubricating jelly. The bladder is filled with radiocontrast dye. You may feel the urge to void during filling. X-rays will be taken of the bladder. You will be asked to void, then more images may be taken.
