Nerve injury: Consider injury to cervical nerve roots: C4, 5, 6, 7 and/or a brachial plexus injury. Trauma and/or arthritis can be the cause. You should consult with a neurologist. MRI and nerve conduction studies will pin this down. If you have any weakness in your arm, evaluation is urgent.
