Gabapentin, yes: A relatively new anticonvulsant. Differs from most other anticonvulsants because it has minimal drug interaction potential and is not metabolized in humans. It is widely used for both paroxysmal and continuous neuropathic pain conditions (central sensitization) such as postherpetic neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy as well as trigeminal neuralgia.
