See answer: In most instances, follow-up testing to insure cure of chlamydia is not recommended, unless there are signs or symptoms of persistence, recurrence, poor compliance in taking medication, or deviation from standard or alternative treatment regimens: single dose of Azithromycin 1, 000mg or Doxycycline 100mg twice daily x 7 days. Repeat testing usually recommended about 3-4 weeks after treatment.
