Infection: Staph or strep infection. You need antibiotics locally or orally.

Forme frust reaction: The irritation from a scabies infection is from the waste material as the mite advances. A local 'foreign body' type reaction is not unusual once they are extinguished by the medication. If cultured, it is quite likely that the purulence is sterile and this is not an active infection.
