Cough syrup: In general, pediatric varieties are safe and contain very little alcohol, if any. Avoid those with ephedrine, (ephedrine sulfate) Pseudoephedrine they can elevate your blood pressure. Avoid those with ibuprofen, other nsaids as they can have harmful fetal effects.
