No: Hepatitis c virus &hiv infections are not transmitted this way. You failed to mention whether not the comb cut the surface of your eye, in which you could develop an infection. When in doubt, or if your eye becomes red, painful, change in vision, or discharge, you should see an eye md for evaluation. Otherwise just monitor for any changes, and you may use artificial tears to lubricate the eye.

I got cut by a barber.The blade used was new.He took an Alum stone ,sprayed some antiseptic liquid on it and rubbed in on my wound.He also put some powder on top of it. I'm worried that I will get HCV or HIV from it.Online articles indicate HCV.
The barber shaved me and i got a few very small cuts.Later he rubbed my face with a shared alum block. There was no visible blood on it. What are the odds for me being infected with HiV,HCV or both if this alum was used on someone with infection ?
