Difference...: Acute bronchitis is due to infection of the airways and will resolve. Symptoms include cold symptoms, cough, fever. Chronic bronchitis is a form of copd, usually occurs in smokers and is an incurable, slowly progressive disease. Symptoms include productive cough and shortness of breath. The 2 disorders are very different.
