Is there a form of ibuprofen such as liquid/chewable that is absorbed before it reaches intestines? i want to avoid any further intestinal irritation.

Its available: All "nsaids" or anti-inflammatories come in a variety of formulation. Nsaids in general can cause some degree of stomach irritation. Acetaminophen does not share the same characteristic as nsaids.

Not really: All the Ibuprofen you take orally gets into the intestinal tract. There is I.V. Ibuprofen but obviously that's impractical. The only NSAID that can get absorbed by the skin is volraren. It is used to target large joints. Ask your doctor if this is for your particular case.
