A member asked:

If i take prozac (fluoxetine) with food, am i less likely to feel nauseous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Probably not. The nausea with Prozac (fluoxetine) is not due to your stomach irritation, but rather due to the stimulation of the serotonin receptors in the brain. Of course, there are also serotonin receptors in the gut – but these, to the best of my knowledge, are not directly involved in the nausea / vomiting reflex.
