A member asked:

How rough is vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) on your kidneys?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No significant issue: The medication is primarily excreted through the kidneys but does not appear to have a major side effect profile affecting kidney function although as we age, kidney clearance of this medication decreases. Indirectly, this drug could cause secondary blood pressure increases and that could over time affect kidney function but typically that is not seen as major side effect or complication.
