Hi my liver test shows protein 3.4 sgot 34 and bilirubin is .24 ....and my liver pains alot...i haven't consult any doc yet..pls help?

I have pain in my right ribs which I feel in my back. Annual in Nov. led to blood work. Bilirubin count was up and liver enzymes found. Talked to my doc about possible caused of test result. He mentioned gall but I didnt know pain connected. Diet?
I had mono in January and elevated bilirubin of 2.2mg/dL in March. Never went back and got it retested. My doc isnt worried. Many doctors on here are scaring me. Could I have a serious medical condition and not know it if I dont get it rechecked?!
