A member asked:

Why would i get infected hairs on vaginal area?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bacterial flora: Your vulva and surrounding areas are full of bacteria that normally live there. The hair root may get infected when those bacteria are able to penetrate your skin, for example if you shave, scratch, or any other way that may give open access to that part of the under skin. If you think you have an infection try to get seen so your doctor can decide of you need antibiotics.
