One FDA indication: The only official fda approved clinical indication for the use of Lovaza is to lower the triglyceride level in patients who have levels that exceed 500 mg/dl and is often used in conjunction with lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise. Although there has been some preliminary observations and studies that it can reduce inflammation in the body, studies to prove this are ongoing. Stay tuned.
