Small painless lump in posterior axila not found on mammogram what could it be?

Cyst/lipoma: If no family history , most likely due to a lipoma. If it grows or is bothersome , a minor surgical procedure can remove it.

Axilla lump: It could be a lymph node. Often the complete axillary region cannot be included on the mammogram. See your doctor about this. Ultrasound may be useful next step.
