Possible allergy: It sounds like you have wedding ring dermatitis as you are possibly allergic to a metal component of your wedding ring. The other cause is soap that gets stuck under the ring band. If the rash is isolated to the area where the ring touches your skin then it is most likely an allergic reaction. If you have similar looking rashes other areas, possibly other causes and would need to be evaluated.
