Maybe (not) . . .: Body mass index between 30-40 covers a lot of territory. Using http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.htm, for someone who's 6' tall, BMI of 30 equals 221 pounds while 295 pounds gives BMI of 40. 74 pounds can mean a big difference but more important is body composition. If you're 295 pounds of muscle, that's healthier than 221 pounds of fat. Don't forget aerobic exercise too.
