Well....: since the chemicals in them are very similar to ritalin (methylphenidate) and other ADHD medications.... not generally all that bad. BUT needs to be controlled and regulated to watch for 1) inappropriate weight 2) addiction 3) growth stunting those happen. Cardiovascular and blood pressure effects which the drugs do, don't happen in young people except really really rarely.
