Acute appendicitis: is almost always a surgical emergency, and requires emergency appendectomy. In rare cases, mainly in children, it can be treated successfully with antibiotics. Considering your age, other causes of pain, such as cecal or ovarain tumors, must be excluded. Consult your doctor for specific advice in your case.
