Amalgam removal: My question is why do you want that in the first place? To my knowledge there has never been 1 valid scientific study to prove there is a link with amalgam fillings ; any medical problem. To my knowledge there are no truly "specialized" dentists who do this. The ones who claim the necessity of this in the us are open to disciplinary actions by governing agencies ; boards. Investigate before u act!

No need for : a specialist. Any general dentist can do it. If not broken why fix it? Most research finds no relationship between fillings and symptoms of mercury poisoning or other side effects. Eventually, any cavity if not treated, can lead to pain, infection, root canal and even tooth loss. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment.
