Are they problems?: The answer to your question really depends. If the part of your tonsil that is still there is not giving you trouble, there is nothing to do. If it is giving you trouble, then see an ENT specialist who can give you options for treatment. Many patients who had they tonsils removed by some of the older methods of tonsillectomy, like with a snare still have residual tonsil tissue and that's okay.
