See your PCP: to rule out temporal arteritis. Initially the headache may be the only presenting symptom with the temporal (temple bone) and occipital regions being the most common locations. Tender spots or nodules may be present in the scalp, especially over inflamed arteries. you should always first consult your primary care physician, and he/she might refer you to a proper specialist for each problem.
