Skips: Consider this: if your heart rate is 60, you have 1 full second (1,000 milliseconds) between each heart beat. If your heart rate is 80, you have 0.75 seconds (750 milliseconds) between beats. Most likely, what you're feeling are simple interruptions in your rhythm, usually caused by a premature beat followed by a compensatory pause as your heart resumes its cadence. If you're bothered, see a doc.
